Could Be Worse

Could Be Worse

Words and Music by Brian Griffin (10-1-07)

You’re feeling bad about us
You sa we don’t have the time
To do all that we want to do
No free moments we can find
We’re running back and forth
All the routines that we’ve rehearsed
Then I see the people lined up for food
And I’m thinking that things could be worse

We’re eating at a restaurant
I look into your eyes
You look to see what I’m seeing
Looking for a reason to lose your mind
You say I’m not focused on you
You tell me how you hurt
I see a homeless man staring at the ground
And realize that things could be worse

I’m not saying that things are bad
But I think that we should take stock of all the good things we have
And remember that love is the key
Let go of the pain and truly be free

Driving home we’re having another “conversation”
About how I have disappointed you again
You say “I Love Yous” are not enough
You patience is wearing thin
I know you’re frustrated baby
I’m trying to give you all that you deserve
We drive by a cross on the highway
Can’t you see that things can be so much worse

I still love you baby
We can have it so much worse
We’ll still alive honey
Things can be so much worse
Things can be so much worse
It all can be so much worse
