Today we get another chance
It is not too late
We’ve made it through the darkest of nights
And now the dawn awaits
We’ve been in a haze too long now
We have lost our way
But we have survived to this moment

We lost track of what made us human
We became inhumane
Our high hope and dreams
Were cruelly taken away
They took us to a different land
A dark and heartless place
But the light could not be extinguished

We’re joining together all across the land
Opening up the clenched fist into a helping hand
They tried to lead with fear and hate
Take us down the road to hell
Can’t see the good in your fellow man
Just the evil that may dwell
But now we’ve awakened from this dream
Found the path from which we strayed
Now we can bask in the glorious light
Of Inauguration Day
Now we got another chance
